What are our fees?

What is our Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy?If you cancel or change your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice or if you fail to attend an appointment, you will be charged for the full cost of the appointment. We understand there are some genuine or unpredictable reasons to miss or cancel an appointment. Cancellation of an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice will mean that we are unable to re-allocate the time to other patients. Your time is precious and so is ours. Thank you for your understanding.

Do I need a referral to see a Physiotherapist?No - You do not need a referral or a prescription. You can book an appointment with us directly. If you have a medical insurance, you should contact your insurer who may ask a referral letter from your GP.

What can I expect on my first physio appointment?At our clinic, we take great effort in discovering the cause behind of your pain/issue. Your physiotherapist will listen to your story and the history of your condition. After assessing and examining, we will then work with you to determine an appropriate customised treatment plan based on your physical needs and treatment goals. You are welcome to ask any questions during your course of treatment.

Can you invoice my insurance company directly?PhysioKiné is recognised with all major medical insurance companies: Bupa, Bupa international, WPA, Cigna, Aviva, Vitality Pruhealth, Standard Life, Groupama, AXA PPP… We do not bill directly to health insurances except for Bupa UK. We will issue a receipt so that you make the claim yourself. BUPA: PhysioKine provider no is 80008981. When booking an appointment, please provide your Bupa membership number, your authorisation number, the number of sessions authorised and your excess amount if you have one. You must agree to pay the excess amount and all amounts not authorised by Bupa. AXA: We do not bill directly to AXA PPP. However, if you wish to claim wit AXA, christine Julien-Laferriere is registered under provider No “CJ00604”.

What should I bring to my appointment?Documents: If you have a referral letter or reports from investigations such as Xray, MRI, scans, please send them us by email or bring them on your first appointment. Clothing: We recommend comfortable, loose clothing that does not restrict movement and allows access to your specific pain issue or injury. For ankle and Knee problems you could bring a pair of shorts. For back and shoulder injuries we recommend wearing a tank top or appropriate underclothing. Our priority is to have you feeling comfortable. If you have any concerns, please talk to your therapist.

What are our COVID-19 Health & Safety measures?What are we doing? Screening patients before each attendance Implementing an enhanced cleaning regime before and after each patient and ventilate the room. Washing / sanitising hands regularly. Enhance cleaning Wearing PPE in line with Public Health England guidelines We will continue remote video consultations when the benefit of attendance is outweighed by the risk and if you do not feel comfortable coming to the practice. What are we asking you to do? Do not make an appointment if you or anyone in your family have any symptoms of COVID-19 or feel unwell. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel an appointment Wear a facemask / covering during your appointment Only bring essential items with you. Arrive on time for your appointment but stay outside the clinic. Use the hand sanitiser available Attend alone unless a parent, guardian or carer is needed. Let me know if this is the case. Consenting to treatment: To proceed with a face to face consultation, you understand the risks of Coronavirus and appreciate that all precautions are in place to minimise this risk. You agree to inform the practice for all appointments booked if your circumstances change.

What is our Chaperone Policy?Patients are welcome to be accompanied by a friend or relative during treatment sessions. If you require a chaperone to be provided by the practice, please advise us when booking your appointment so that a convenient appointment may be arranged. Individuals under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
